WELCOME

We are the junior rowing section at Falcon Rowing and Canoe Club. The junior squad is still in its infancy, having only really lifted off the ground in September 2011. We are now a thriving squad, with up to 70 juniors rowing regularly with us. You will find lots of further information here, and a link to our waiting list here.

We attended our first ever race in April 2012, and achieved our first race win in September 2012. Since then, we haven't looked back, and we have achieved numerous race wins. We have also achieved five national finals, a silver medal at Brit Champs and at Junior Inter-Regionals, a further national bronze medal and three juniors have attended GB trials.

Unfortunately, we are currently oversubscribed, and so we run a waiting list. We usually anticipate about a 3 month wait, although there are usually more spaces at the beginning of each term, especially September. Each summer, we also run summer courses, available to anyone who wants to learn to scull and these also double as beginner courses for those looking to join us.

Please note we are no longer accepting beginners for the 2016/17 season. The next intake will be for September 2017. Please continue to add your name to the waiting list if you are interested, as it will be first come, first served. We would also strongly recommend all juniors wishing to join in September complete a summer course first.
