From Wednesday next week (21st July), Sophie and Georgia will be attempting to row the length of the navigable, non-tidal Thames in a pair. That means they will be rowing from Lechlade to Teddington. All in aid of raising funds for our new clubhouse. They are aiming to raise £500 through this crazy venture (although really they should aim for a £1000), and hope that you will be crazy enough to sponsor them. You can do so on their Just Giving page: http://bit.ly/30BAy7M
To put some numbers around this:

Read about Falcon's contribution to Oxclean in the Oxford Mail, picking up 50 bags of rubbish from the river banks. A great team effort from members right across the club.
The plans for the new clubhouse have been submitted to Oxford City Planning for approval under application 19/00410/FUL. The minimum time for this to happen will be eight weeks, but it often takes much longer. More details will be published on our planning page in due course.
Falcon young kayaker Enya Dale has been selected to train for the Olympics. Read more on the Oxford Mail.
For those of you who missed the bulk order last month, you can now purchase them directly from the supplier HERE
With the growing demand on our existing fleet of 8 Ravens, Falcon has just taken delivery of 4 new Zetas from Marsport. These new boats will fit in well along aside the Ravens as a mid stability junior / small adult boat, and be a more comfortable step up to the slightly less stable Cougars. Fitted with low seats (there is the option to for a higher version) and quick adjustment foot plates, the new boats will strengthen the Falcon range of craft and will I'm sure become a popular choice come the summer months.
